If you’ve lost a tooth and you’re not sure of the next steps, we can help. Dental implants are, without doubt, the world’s most popular tooth replacement option. Your dental implant will look just like the tooth you lost and give you the confidence to smile widely again.
Designed to integrate with your jawbone, this securely-fitted prosthetic tooth will not fall out, discolour, or feel out of place in your mouth. Additionally, it will maintain the strength of your jawbone. Simply put, a dental implant will restore your teeth to their former aesthetic glory and ensure you retain a healthy-looking facial structure.
Don’t let missing teeth become a problem. Look and feel great about your smile with securely fitted dental implants!
A dental implant is an effective and permanent replacement tooth. It consists of a titanium root that is fitted into the jaw and will, over time, fuse with the jawbone. A natural looking crown is then added to that root. The first crown will be a temporary one. Once the gum has properly healed and the implant settled, a few months later, you’ll return to us to have your permanent crown fitted.
Jawbones are naturally stimulated by the roots of your teeth. This keeps them healthy and strong. When you lose a tooth, your jawbone may begin to atrophy. But not if you’ve had a dental implant fitted! This is because the root of the implant mimics that of a tooth. A healthy jawbone means your facial structure is supported and you shouldn’t experience the sunken in, prematurely-aged look associated with jawbone atrophy.
No, that’s not the case! It’s possible for bridges of crowns to be secured at either end with an implant.
Dental implants are very safe and secure. The procedure to have them fitted is routine and performed by our experienced, highly trained dentists. Once fitted, they’re not going to fall out. The risk of them being rejected is also extremely low.
People who have had dental implants fitted love them because they look and feel like natural teeth, they’re secure, they’re long lasting, and they’re easy to look after. They can be brushed in the normal way, along with the rest of your teeth.
Most people who have lost teeth are suitable for dental implants. However, the level of how invasive the procedure is depends on the individual. The quicker you can get to us following the loss of your tooth, the more likely it is we can perform the procedure in a straightforward manner without additional bone-grafting.
From the initial consultation; when we’ll assess your suitability, to the procedure itself, we’ll keep you informed of everything you need to know. We’ll ensure you’re as comfortable and pain free as possible throughout the treatment, as well as provide you with valuable aftercare support.
